I chose James Paul Gee, a professor at Arizona State University and researcher known for his book What Videogames Have to Teach Us About Learning and Literacy. It examines similarities in production and thematic strategies as well as the dichotomy of the critical reception of these works, attempting to surmise from where the differing attitudes stem.
